After masking and a brief application if filler, I reprimed so I can sand and apply a base coat either later or in the morning.
The filler is to address some unsightly mold marks/creases running through the contour lines instead of with them... and the roughness of the join between the front plate and main body.

It’s the paradox of ease of effort vs. will vs. utility . If it’s totally pointless and insane, I want to do it more, which makes it easier. Stuff I should do or have to do, I don't want to do, which makes it hard.

There are enough irregularities in the metal I don't have to worry about getting it perfect, which makes getting it "good" lower stress.
